Punch biopsy. Specimen Collection: 2 samples are required; 1 sample in saline for immunofluorescence and the other in 10% buffered formalin fixative immediately for routine Histology.
For specimens from referring hospital/laboratories please ensure to arrange for the specimens to arrive at WDHB laboratory within 24 hours from excision of specimen. Notify Histology Laboratory in advance of the specimens expected arrival date and time.
